Delegates from Ibiza demonstrate optimism at Fitur
The Minister of Tourism of Ibiza, Pepa Marí, demonstrated optimism at the International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur) in Madrid in a meeting with reporters, after presenting some statistics provided by the Balearic Government which show that in 2009 the arrival number of tourists Mallorca had fallen with 11,73% and in Menorca with 12,7% while Ibiza had “only” 9% less tourist arrivals last year. The Minister pointed out that the "data is not positive but the crisis has affected us less than others”.
Fitur celebrates its 30th anniversary from 20 to 24 January in Madrid. The fair is a meeting point for international tourism professionals: tourism promotion agencies, operators, hotels, travel agencies, consultancies and experts in international tourism management.
